Board-Certified-Level Trial Counsel Available to Partner with Your Firm on Complex Civil Matters

When Your Client’s Case Demands Trial-Ready Representation

Not every case settles. When litigation escalates to the point where courtroom skill becomes the deciding factor, having experienced trial counsel at the table can make the difference between a favorable outcome and a missed opportunity. JD offers co-counsel and trial partnership services to law firms across Florida that need a seasoned litigator to help take cases through trial.

With extensive trial experience spanning commercial disputes, insurance bad faith, real estate litigation, business torts, and personal injury matters, JD brings courtroom credibility, strategic depth, and the ability to connect with juries on complex factual and legal issues. He has served as main trial counsel for a firm that grew to 45 employees and managed over 7,500 active cases, and he has personally handled cases ranging from residential disputes to multimillion-dollar commercial matters.

How Our Co-Counsel Arrangement Works

We understand that referring a case or bringing in co-counsel requires trust. Our co-counsel relationships are built on transparency, clear communication, and mutual respect for each firm’s role. Here is what you can expect when you partner with Your Legal Advocate:

  • Case Evaluation: We begin with a thorough review of your case file, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, and expert reports, to assess trial readiness and identify strengths, weaknesses, and strategic opportunities.
  • Fee Arrangements: We work on a fee-sharing basis consistent with Rule 4-1.5 of the Florida Rules of Professional Conduct. All arrangements are documented in writing and disclosed to the client with informed consent.
  • Trial Preparation: From witness preparation and exhibit organization to motions in limine and jury instructions, we help with the intensive pretrial work that positions your client for success at trial.
  • Courtroom Advocacy: JD has handled all courtroom proceedings, including voir dire, opening statements, direct and cross-examinations, evidentiary arguments, objections throughout trial, and closing arguments. We can discuss and agree on a division of trial responsibilities that best serves the client.
  • Post-Trial Support: We assist with post-trial motions and enforcement of judgments as needed.
